New York is a great city to stay up all night. Whether you want to drink or dance into the wee hours of the morning, or spend the night listening to talented musicians, scroll down to read about the best nightlife in Midtown.
Start the night with a show. And not just any show, a comedy show! Buy tickets for classic stand-up comedy nights, large comedy clubs with veteran comedians or impromptu nights with new talents.
Do you prefer to listen to live music? No problem! Madison Square Garden, The Beacon Theatre and Town Hall are but a few of the best live music venues in Midtown. You can see the latest pop stars or classic bands playing old but great tunes. And speaking of great tunes, are there any jazz fans here? If so, New York has incredible jazz venues! From well-established jazz clubs like Village Vanguard and Birdland, to newer additions like Blue Note.
Let’s talk about drinks. When in New York, look for views. Luckily, Midtown is home to many bars with rooftop terraces. St. Cloud, Bar Sixtyfive, and Refinery Rooftop have some of the best views. If you want a 360-degree experience amid the clouds, head to One World Trade Center and grab a few drinks at One Dine. Though it’s not in Midtown, the extra travel time will be worth it.
As the weather warms, frozen cocktails return to the menus. Most bars include at least one option for those hot New York nights, but our favorite spots are: Dallas BBQ and Havana Central.
