Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival is the optimal outdoor activity to welcome Spring. Each year tourist and locals rejoice as the weather warms and these charming pink-petal trees flourish. If you are lucky enough to be in NYC for the St. Patrick's Day Parade, come and enjoy its 256th anniversary. It's one of the oldest and largest of it's kind, and has been celebrating Irish culture since 1762. Number one show you need to visit to see International Blue Chip Art Galleries. Come check out the 209 exhibitors and expect to see Gagosian, White Cube, and many more.

You've been admiring those miniature masterpieces inside of your favorite box of treats for long enough--time to flex your creativity. Take a chocolate making class at Tache, an artisan handmade store in the Lower East Side. Bring a friend or your family and kids for a fun packed day of learning and creating. Catch the amazing show, Othello: The Remix, before it leaves the West Side Theater on January 15th. Everyone knows that Shakespeare was a word slayer and a master of verse, but this fun and humor filled take on the famous Othello play has the New York Times calling it "clever, witty, and fast." It is presented by John Leguizamo and directed, written, and composed by GQ and JQ, in what is sure to be an entertaining and smile-inducing 80 minutes.

As we all know, the First of November marks the date where it is officially a-ok to break out your Santa hats, drink gingerbread lattes, and start playing "Jingle Bells" in your car. The Radio City Christmas Spectacular has just the thing for all you Christmas-lovers, and it starts this November 11th.

As the trees change in Central Park, many much anticipated events are coming to New York City! One of October's most sought after affairs is Open House New York, a weekend-long gift where many historic and famous buildings of Manhattan, normally off limits, are open to the public.

Coming up in October, New York City will come alive with glowing pumpkins, spiced lattes, and eerie tales of one of the most influential cities in America. Don't miss out on the several festive occasions throughout Manhattan and its surrounding areas this year! The NYC tradition in this post is one of our favorites.

On September 18th, Fort Tryon Park goes back in time with the Medieval Festival, twenty minutes away from the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel.

At least once a month, you can find one of the best shows in town. You just have to know where to look. Home of "sort-of secret" dance parties and comedy shows, Secret Loft has operated for the last three years in Bushwick's McKibbin Lofts, about thirty minutes out from our hotel at Times Square.

One of the best parts of a summer in New York City is the atmosphere of spontaneity mixed with the thriving culture of music. You might have to wait in line a while, and if you don't mind paying for a spot, the most accessible concerts are located in Central Park Ramsey Playfield, just a ten minute cab ride from the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel.

The cherry blossoms are in full bloom which means two things to any New Yorker: the end to months of layering and heavy coats, and the annual Brooklyn Botanic Garden's cherry blossom festival. Sakura Matsuri, or cherry blossom festivals, have long been an important tradition in Japanese culture, and has been celebrated by the BBG for 35 years as an official welcoming of spring.

New York City is considered by blues fans to be a kind of mecca. If you've come in search of the quintessential blues club, we've got just the place to recommend. Terra Blues, located less than 15 minutes from our Times Square hotel, is as authentic a blues venue as they come. Step inside and be immediately enveloped by the intimacy of the space.

Macy's annual two-week floral exhibition returns this year with a patriotic theme of "America the Beautiful." Expect the ground floor of the department store's Herald Square location to be transformed into a veritable botanical garden with a stunning variety of native plants. Starting March 20, the various bouquets and arrangements will pay a beautiful homage to our country.

January 1st has come and gone, but if you still haven't gotten your New Year fix, then check out the Better Chinatown Society's celebration of the Chinese New Year on February 8th at Sara D. Roosevelt Park. Located less than twenty minutes from our Times Square hotel, celebrate the Year of the Monkey with a massive five-hundred thousand firecracker display (yes, you read that number right), as well as lion dances with colorful masks and costumes, craft vendors and food booths filled with dumplings and other tasty traditional goodies.
